How To Style A Black Blazer

Here, I will share with you all 8 ways on how to style a black blazer for fall! A black blazer is a classic and universal attribute of a woman’s wardrobe. A modern black oversized blazer is appropriate for any occasion: work, college, a stroll, or any other party event. To make your outfits always feel comfortable think about the quality of blazers and your own personal life. Like what activities you do daily, what is important to you, the material you think you will like wear the most and the style of a blazer. There are so many amazing style of blazers for you to choose from starting from double-breasted to masculine to tweed or linen blazers. It’s just a matter of preference.

Where Can You Buy A Black Blazer

The most popular black blazer is a classic, straight, longline and a bit masculine cut. The one I’m styling here is from two seasons ago from Zara. It’s a double-breasted tweed blazer. But, there are so many boutiques, stores and online shops that carry similar style blazers. Express always has a great selection of women’s blazers that are also decent price and amazing quality. If you don’t like a tweed blazer you can take a look at the Express Peak Label Double Breasted Blazer! It’s very identical to the one I’m styling here, it’s just not tweed. Or another great option is the Express Plaid Tweed Boyfriend Blazer. My next bet would be Mango, they just have super trendy styles all the time. And checkout Everlane, Madewell, and J.Crew for some classic black blazers.

8 Ways On How To Style A Black Blazer For Fall

With  A Linen Skirt

A black blazer + skirt sounds very boring. But how about a midi linen skirt with a side slit? Not so boring, right? I’m absolutely in love with this combination and how it looks super casual and super feminine! This is a Zara skirt, but there are many linen skirt options out there.

Monochromatic Total Black Look!

The most versatile combination, which happens to be my favorite of all! A total black look always looks stylish, chic, and luxurious. It’s almost impossible to fail a total black look! But if you want to spice it up, you can always add an accessory for a pop of color! Remember this formula and implement it to different colors and styles that you wish to wear. In this outfit I have paired the blazer with a simple black tank top and banana or balloon jeans also called baggy jeans! These type of jeans are definitely a trend but they look super stylish and create a street style look.

With Fitted Trousers

This is a very simple yet super stylish ways to style a black blazer! You can always pair a tween black blazer with fitted-trousers or wide-leg trousers for a more oversized and casual look! I love both options, and often opt for this look during the colder seasons, because it’s very simple and elegant and you will always look super stylish! You can finish the look with either clean sneakers or nude pumps / sandals.

With Shorts

Black is a very moderate color, therefore you CAN and HAVE to experiment, in this case it’s a black blazer! Fashion is all about trying and experimenting, if you never try you will never know! As you all know, shorts are a must-have for the summer, especially if you live in the subtropics. Here, is how I styled a classic tweed black blazer with high-waisted shorts, a camel tank top and slingback flats to complete the look! It’s an interesting look but it looks stylish!

With A Mini Flowy Skirt

This combination is nothing new! Nothing complements each other as well as a black blazer and a mini skirt. The strict lines and the moderate look of the blazer will compensate the mini skirt. If you throw on a classic blazer, your mini skirt will never look too vulgar, bold or defiant. Love this mini skort from STORETS, it comes in multiple colors.

With A Denim Skirt

Denim always looks casual but in a combo with a blazer it creates a smart casual look. These types of looks always look effortlessly chic and they seem like you haven’t spent too much time getting dressed.

With “IT” Jeans

In everyday life, you can simply combine a black blazer with your favorite pair of jeans or how I call them the “IT” pair of jeans! There are so many options with just these two items. You can combine it all with any accessories, any handbags and the amount of shoes for this outfit is infinite, from heels to sneakers! In this case, I love pair my tweed blazer with some straight ankle jeans, wide-leg jeans or pants and mom jeans! These jeans look great on me, as I’m petite and they always look stunning and flattering with whatever tops I pair them with.

With A Little Black Dress

The combination of a blazer and a little black dress is a fantastic way to create a smart casual style. A little black dress with a blazer will always emphasize the body shape, look harmonious and will compensate for the oversized or distressed blazer fit!
