Before we jump into details, I thought of creating this post because it’s Spring and most people will be decluttering their wardrobes and start investing into more staple pieces. So, I think that this post will be not only inspirational but helpful for those that are currently thinking of purchasing something different for their wardrobe. As we know most people have dress codes but majority have a business casual dress code. Also, a lot of people work from home or just started working home, so this post will be very very helpful for everyone!

Smart casual is perhaps one of the most popular current work trends in the combination and simple but smart clothing decisions. Smart casual is not a specific style it’s just a stylish look assembled with trends, casual and chic pieces for work.
Today, “smart” style is not only for workwear but also it’s a great way to make your everyday outfits look chic. What’s so amazing about smart casual style is if, for instance, you have a work meeting in the morning, you can wear a tee, blazer and trousers with heels and then head out to a date night or to a cafe with friends by switching the trousers to jeans or shorts. Plus, add a pair of sneakers if you prefer comfort, and voila you have a smart casual look! It’s that easy and simple to recreate, especially if you follow these outfit combination formulas!

5 Smart Casual Work Outfit Combinations To Copy
1. White Top + Skirt + Crop Jacket
Let’s start with a chic outfit and not a typical way of styling your skirt. The formula is very simple, you have to combine a simple top with a skirt plus add any outwear you like, from trench coats, sherpas, faux leather, tweed or any cropped jacket like you can see in this photo. Also, cropped jackets are everywhere now, so it wouldn’t be too hard to find something similar to recreate this look. Some of the most popular skirt styles are maxi denim skirts, which are in trend right now, including any maxi skirts in any material and style.
2. White Crop Top + Wide-Leg Trousers + Trench Coat
This is the perfect smart casual style outfit combination, because we have a casual cropped long sleeve top paired with super classy trench coat and the white wide-leg trousers. Also, the base for this outfit can be a basic t-shirt, long sleeve or a tank top, or like in this case a cropped long sleeve from Zara. I have styled this look with a statement structured bag that is also considered a part of “smart” elements. And to finish off the look add your fave pumps for the office look and swap them out, for a pair of sneakers, in the evening for a casual walk!
3. White Top + Wide-Leg Trousers + Plaid Blazer
This is another amazing, stylish outfit combination. For foundation, opt for casual and timeless pieces that are not too flashy and not super trendy. Like in this outfit, you can see a causal and basic piece, a white top! Something so simple completes the look and blends in very easily. A plaid or houndstooth blazer will be a great layering piece creating the smart casual look perfect for with work environment. You can easily where any shoes here, like a pair of sneakers, pumps, and loafers.
4. White Top + Black Trousers + Crop Jacket
A casual base here is the white tee and the crop jacket imitating a classic blazer or a faux leather moto jacket. And the “smart” items here being the black trousers with a pair of classy black heels.
5. Turtleneck + Trousers
One of my favorite smart casual outfit combinations! Take any basic and neutral turtleneck you have and combine with a pair of trousers plus heels or sandals for a casual look.
See, it’s that simple to create smart casual looks but for a professional working environment, whether it’s a an office, school, business meeting or lunch, and even a walk at the park or a play date with kids.
